If you would like to submit an article
Anyone may submit an article. You do not need to be a university graduate or a veteran writer ot researcher. If the article is fact based, I do expect you to have researched your subject carefully and to be making a valid and above all, an interesting comment. Whether the article is fact or fiction, the actual standard of writing should be high. However, please do not be deterred in sending a contribution because you think your writing may not be good enough. As an experienced writer and editor, I am always very willing to help anyone whose writing shows promise but could do with a bit of polishing.
The article may be long or short, pithy, witty and light-hearted, serious and thought-provoking, what ever form suits it best. If necessary, in the case of a whole manuscript for example, it can be broken up into installmemts. Anyone who has taken the trouble to write and submit an article will always be treated with respect and that article included if at all possible. It will be subject to the editor’s opinion and choice and this decision will be final. What is important is that the article is relevant to the theme of Mid Wales and is a good read.
All contributors will recieve 2 free copies of the magazine in which their article appears.
Publication dates are around the 21st of March, June, September and December. Deadlines are the last day of the preceding month, so please make sure your material or your events schedule reaches me by then.
To submit an article, send a synopsis or a typescript by post or email a Word document to The Editor. Contact details are available here.
